Green Infrastructure Project

St. Casimir Church received a $170,000 grant from the Northeast Ohio Sewer District to become the Cleveland Catholic Diocese First Green Infrastructure Church. Thanks to the generosity of Bramhall Engineering in Avon and Licursi Construction Company in Kirtland, the church was able to install approximately $250,000 worth of improvements at the church.

In keeping with Pope Francis's call to be "Stewards of our Land and Water," the grant allowed the church to install permeable pavers, rain barrels, and bio-retention basins all designed to lessen the impact of stormwater entering our sewer systems and helping which helps to improve the water quality in Lake Erie.
